Cala Millor and surroundings
Cala Millor is the largest holiday resort on Mallorca's east coast. It is situated in a wide, natural bay with a fantastic beach of around 2 kilometres in length, which was awarded the Blue Flag for water quality, safety, and cleanliness in 2022. Here, you will find fine, white sand and a clear blue sea. The water right by the beach is shallow and on most days in the summer, it's a great place for children to play and paddle. However, due to the size of the bay, the sea here is less protected than in some of the smaller coves so, on some days, you can get fairly big waves.
Cala Millor has a beautiful promenade lined with palm trees and pine trees, which runs along the entire length of the beach and further on into the neighbouring resort of Cala Bona. On the promenade, you will find a great choice of restaurants, cafes, bars, and a variety of shops.
If you need a break from beach life and promenading, there are plenty of other options in and around the resort. Within a 20-kilometre radius from Cala Millor, there are no less than 6 golf courses to choose from! If speed is more your thing, there is also a great karting track, which offers exhilarating karting experiences for young and old.
The relatively flat landscape around Cala Millor is ideally suited for cycle rides or walking. There are several bike rental places that offer a wide variety of different models.
The resort is also perfectly located to explore Mallorca's Via Verde. This is a former railway line, which has been converted into a beautiful walking and cycling track. The 29 kilometres long scenic path runs from Manacor, past Cala Millor, all the way to Arta.
